Kevin Short says:

"Don’t be afraid to fish shallow, even in the hottest months of the summer. Some fish will remain shallow in every body of water. The shallowest fish are most often located in the upper reaches of a reservoir or lake, where major feeder creeks or rivers supply some fresh water year ‘round."
