"Summer time is topwater time. It’s a good idea to experiment with different types of topwater baits; walking baits, prop baits, poppers. Don’t be afraid to throw a topwater bait in the middle of a hot summer day, either. Many times the biggest fish of the day will fall to a topwater in the heat of the day."
