Kevin Short's execution was nearly flawless this past weekend as he claimed his first Bassmaster Elite Series win, posting a four-day total of 43 pounds, 3 ounces. Short possesses an extensive knowledge of river systems and used it to his advantage by spending each day rotating between two backwater slews every few hours until he caught his 5 fish daily limit.  

This victory also puts Short in a strong tenth position in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings, and pushes him toward a position in the Bassmaster Elite Series postseason set for September 10-18.
